DESCRIPTION FROM THE MANUFACTURER:The box is shown empty and then silks are produced from it. Water is then poured into the box. The water vanishes. A glass of wine is then produced from the box. The wine is poured back into the box and then the wine vanishes.
Many, many more effects are possible with this ingenious box. It should be noted that no covers of any type are used to keep the liquids from spilling. There are no moving, tipping or hinged gimmicks. The box measures 7" x 5" x 5.5" and is well made and attractively decorated.
This effect was invented by R. N. (Norm) Menge and sold beginning in 1955 as the Egyptian Water Box by Norm’s business partner, U.F. Grant.
