Make stars out of your volunteers! And you won't believe how EASY this is!If you can hold the cards in your hand- you can do this trick!
PERFECT FOR KIDS SHOWS! PERFECT FOR TEACHERS, TOO!
Well known children's entertainer David Goodsell has come up with a very effective, very engaging trick with this one!
This terrific spelling trick is perfect for family shows! It's a fast-moving routine that can involve both child and adult helpers. You'll poke gentle fun at yourself while making stars out of your audience helpers
Effect: Explain to your audience that you learned to spell using large spelling cards. You demonstrate by showing a series of cards with animal cartoons on them.As the simple animal names are spelled, you move the cards, one for each letter, and discard each animal when its name is spelled correctly. After five animals cards are discarded, you announce that since YOU are obviously the STAR of the show, the counted cards will spell the word "star." You will end up holding a card with a star. You ask a volunteer or two to help you.But after spelling the word, you end up with a CLOWN card and both of your HELPERS end up holding star cards- because THEY are the TRUE STARS of the show!
You will receive five different animal cards, two clown cards, and 4 star cards (two for the routine and two replacement cards). Since audience members will be handling the star cards, you get two replacement cards to replace the originals as they get worn!
