Science magic with a comedy twist!BONUS: Monticup's routine ideas and tips!
These are just like the X-Ray glasses that you'd find in those ads on the backs of comic books!Ever wonder if they REALLY work? Now is your chance to find out!
USE THEM AS A SCIENCE TRICK!The construction of these glasses make use of light diffraction, causing you to see a slight "double image" of whatever object you are viewing. This slightly offset image can easily be interpreted as looking at an X-Ray view of the item.THE ILLUSION WORKS BEST WHEN VIEWING YOUR OWN HAND.Put the glasses on, and hold your hand up toward an ordinary household light. Wow!
USE THEM AS A MAGIC TRICK!These goggles even come with the password to a BONUS VIDEO featuring Monticup's own tips and routine ideas!Let Monticup show you how to use these goggles to make a great "mindreading" routine!
X-Ray Goggles are an American novelty item, invented over 100 years ago by George W. MacDonald.Supposedly allowing the user to see through or into solid objects, the glasses really create an optical illusion caused by light diffraction. The lenses are made of two layers of cardboard, with a small 6mm hole punched through both layers. A feather has been sandwiched between the two layers. When the viewer looks at an object through the holes, the lines of the feather are so close to the eye that they affect the angle of the light, causing the viewer's eyes to each see a slightly different image. This slight "double image" effect makes it appear as though you can see both the outside edge of the object, and the "inside"- like an X-Ray.
