Gently "break in" the wand/cane. When you take the wand/cane out of the package, gently but firmly twist and pull the white end cap from the black part.You'll have to experiment to see which white end comes off, so be gentle.Once you get the white end off, gently pull the sections of the black cane so that it extends to its full length.Gently open and close it a few times and it will operate smoothly.
