FROM THE PUBLISHER:
"The original title of the book was HOW GAMBLERS WIN.
OR, THE SECRETS OF ADVANTAGE PLAY EXPOSED. BEING A COMPLETE AND SCIENTIFIC EXPOSE OF THE MANNER OF PLAYING ALL THE VARIOUS ADVANTAGES IN THE GAMES OF POKER, ALL-FOURS, EUCHRE, VINGT-UN, WHIST, CRIBBAGE, ETC. AS PRACTICED BY PROFESSIONAL GAMBLERS UPON THE UNINITIATED. TOGETHER WITH A BRIEF ANALYSIS OF LEGITIMATE PLAY. BY A RETIRED PROFESSIONAL.
Originally published in 1865 and attributed to Gerritt M. Evans, How Gamblers Win is one of the earliest publications on the subject of advantage play – or cheating at cards.
This is a reprint of the 1868 edition.
It is extremely rare for a practicing gambler to publish methods of cheating and such texts are often written by outsiders who do not fully understand and are not capable of executing the techniques described.
This book stands as one of the few exceptions to this rule.
Long unobtainable, the book has been republished in its entirety.
In this new hard-cover edition, every page has been re-type-set, including the original advertisements included in the original publication.
New with this edition is a preface by David Ben and a forward by gambling expert Steve Forte."

The foil-stamped, hardbound 4.5" x 7" book is 109 pages.
It is cloth-backed and has a full-color dust jacket.
