This one happens in the blink of an eye!
You show two lengths of white rope, a silk handkerchief, and a clear plastic tube.You tie the silk handkerchief around both ropes, tying them together.You then string the ropes through the clear tube, with the silk positioned inside the tube as well.
Here's where you can use audience participation:Let one spectator choose one of the two ends of rope coming out of the tube on one side.Then let another spectator choose one of the two ends of rope coming out of the tube on the other side.Yes- it's a FREE choice!Hold the chosen rope ends in your hand, and tie them in a simple overhand knot around the tube.You now have two ropes tied together with a silk, and also tied around the clear tube.
Now for the magic!Let each spectator hold a pair of ropes.At your signal, tell them to give the ropes a pull.The ropes pass right through the clear tube!AND THE SILK STAYS INSIDE THE TUBE!
This seems like a physical impossibility- and gets a great reaction every time!
