Howard Thurston was one of America's foremost magicians.This ceramic mug features one of his many colorful posters.The poster celebrates the "passing of the magic mantle" from Harry Kellar to Thurston.When Kellar decided to retire, he chose Howard Thurston to take over his stage magic extravaganza.This gave a great boost to the already famous Thurston.He performed his stage illusion show until the late 1930's, when he "passed the mantle" to magician Will Rock.
This mug is in great condition except for a small chip on the bottom and a tiny black dot on the rim.The graphics part is nice and clear, with no scratches.
