Perfect for the classroom!
Perform math wizardry with these numbered dice!
Show your spectator this unusual set of four dice. Each of the dice has a different 3-digit number on each of its sides.Let your spectator arrange them in ANY order, with ANY of the numbers facing upward. The result will be four dice sitting next to each other, with a 3-digit number showing on the top of each die.
Now hand your spectator an ordinary calculator.Yes, he can even use his OWN calculator!Meanwhile, you pick up an ordinary paper and pencil to do your calculations.
Then the competition starts! On GO (which your spectator can say), you both add up the four 3-digit numbers. You are using your brain, and he is using a calculator. You will finish WAY quicker!
With thousands of possible combinations of these 3-digit numbers, you are not memorizing them, that's for sure!So how does this work??You may have to buy a set just to find out!
You supply an ordinary calculator, plus pen and paper.
This video was filmed in 2020, which is why we are wearing the protective face shields!Happily, shields are no longer a requirement, and we plan to film the demo over again without them.We like this demo so much, though, that we are leaving it "as is" for now. Hope you enjoy it!
