What makes the Speedreader design so different is that the markings appear in an unexpected place.So while they are easy for YOU to read, they are practically impossible for the spectator to detect them as you perform your effects.
Of course, there are hundreds of card tricks you can do if you have a marked deck. Simply put, whatever card your spectator chooses, you'll know what it is. For example, if a chosen card is put back into the deck, you'll be able to locate it just by looking at the backs of the cards.
Also, by reading the mark on the back, you'll always know if your trick is going "as planned". You'll never be surprised by turning over a card at the end of the trick, only to discover- too late!- that you had miscounted or done something wrong. Knowledge is power, and you will always be in control with this deck!

Expect to see a broken paper seal on the box.Breaking the seal is necessary in order to make the trick deck.Regular ungimmicked Bicycle card decks are made (and sealed) by the U.S. Playing Card Co.Gimmicked card decks, on the other hand, are produced by a number of independent magic trick manufacturers, using those regular Bicycle card decks.To make trick decks, these manufacturers start with the regular Bicycle decks as sold by the U.S. Playing Card Co.U.S. Playing Card Co. places a paper seal over the box flap on each deck.The magic trick manufacturers have to break those seals in order to gimmick the decks inside the boxes.So when you receive a trick deck, expect to see the seal broken.(The only exception is the SEALED Stripper Deck, because that deck is made by the U.S. Playing Card Co.)The cards inside the box are brand new, but they are now GIMMICKED.

Use this force anytime you need to control the selection of a card- it fools them every time!Sometimes, you'll need to "force" a card on your spectator. In other words, you need to make it seem like he has a free choice, but really you are making him take the card that you need him to take.
