It's so simple! Because you don't do anything but spin it- the Silly Spinner does the rest by itself!
This is one of those inexpensive but REACTION GETTING little novelties you can carry in your pocket. When they ask you to "do a trick", show them this. But maybe you'd better have a few in your pocket- when they see this, they will want one!
Just spin the spinner and watch it twirl, slow down, and then spin in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION!
Of course, you can add your own "magical touch" by pretending YOU are controlling the spinner.Or you can just spin away and fascinate yourself with how this works. And exactly HOW does it work??
Here's the science behind how the Silly Spinner works:The SILLY SPINNER is a "rattleback rod", a semi-ellipsoidal spinning top which will rotate normally on its axis when spun in one direction. If it is spun in the opposite direction, it becomes unstable, "rattles" to a stop and reverses its spin to the preferred direction. This spin-reversal behavior appears to violate the law of the conservation of angular momentum. (Hello science teachers!)This makes the Silly Spinner an example of a physical curiosity that has fascinated human imagination since prehistorical times.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD. Do not put the spinner in your mouth. Not suitable for children under 5 years of age.
And that's all you need!Watch the demo video to see how Peter gets the spinner going.Spinner is made of plastic. About 3" long.
