Change a silk into a brown egg- complete with dripping yolk!
Very nice "sucker" effect- they think they know how it's done- until the surprise ending!
When you push a silk scarf into your hand- the silk changes to a BROWN egg! Then you "reveal" the secret by showing that the egg is really a hollow plastic one with a hole in the side, a hole into which you pushed the silk to make it vanish. Ahh- now they THINK they know how you did it!
But wait! Repeat the trick, but this time, after the silk has been changed to the egg, tap the egg and BREAK IT OPEN- the audience will gasp as the gooey insides of an egg come out!
The Silk To Egg trick shows up very nicely from stage, but can be performed close up as well.
You'll get the special egg plus the plastic yolk plus the red silk! You supply the gooey part (which is just ordinary clear dish detergent or hand sanitizer).
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD. Do not put the yolk in your mouth. Not suitable for children under 5 years of age.
You supply ordinary clear liquid dish detergent.
Fred Culpitt introduced the concept of this trick around 1915.
