If you can put the lid on the vase, you can do the trick!
A clever variation of the classic Ball Vase trick, this one does more magic, yet is easy enough for anyone to perform!
The easiest effect: Open the vase and remove a white silk handkerchief from inside. Place the silk back into the vase and put the lid back on. Make a magic gesture, take the lid off the vase- the white silk has turned into a white ball! Put the lid back on, make another gesture, take the lid off- the ball has changed back into a silk!
Another more advanced effect: Open the vase, remove the white silk handkerchief, and put the lid back on the vase. Roll the handkerchief into a ball in your hand- the ball becomes a solid ball. Put the ball into your pocket. Make a magic gesture, and remove the lid from the vase- there is the ball, inside the vase! Tap the vase and the ball magically penetrates right through it. Finally, the lid is lifted one last time, and the ball has changed back into the white silk.
There are many routines possible, some so easy the trick practically works by itself!
And that's all you need!
Ball Vase is made of black molded plastic.Vase is about 4" high.Golf ball is white plastic.Silk is off white. About 6" along each edge.
A description of the Ball Vase principle appears in a French mathematics book published in 1693 by Jacques Ozanam.
