Robert "Bob" Sherman was a 20th century American magic manufacturer and magic shop owner, as well as a performing magician. Over the years he operated a number of very successful shops in Philadelphia, Toronto and New York City. Carl Brema worked for him, creating his brass magic specialties. In mid-century, he operated a magic and puzzle factory headquartered in Bridgeport, Connecticut, known as "Sherms". To promote his business, he manufactured magic tokens with the portrait of a bearded devil and the words "Master Magic". The tokens were made first of pot metal, and then of aluminum" The coins were variously sold in his shops, tucked into magic kits, and handed out as souvenirs to his customers.
