Samuel Berland (1907-1987) was a magic dealer and inventor of popular effects and routines, especially using thimbles and dice. During his lifetime, he invented more than 100 effects and wrote 13 books on tricks and illusions.In 1925, he opened the Princess Magic Shop in Chicago, Illinois with partners Harry Faber and Joe Berg. The shop named after the Princess Theater, which was in the same building. in Chicago's Loop.Also with Joe Berg and Sam Berland were among the founding members of the The Wizard's Club in Chicago, an organization for magicians.
