Start by showing the stand that holds five Bicycle back playing cards. Each card has a different color stripe on it, to distinguish one from the other. Place your prediction face down on the table- it can be a playing card, or a piece of paper with your written prediction.Tell the spectator that he can FREELY choose ANY ONE of the five cards in the stand. Because of your "great mindreading powers" you KNEW what card he would pick- and that is your "prediction".
Your spectator names the color stripe on any one of the cards in the stand.You remove the chosen card, keeping it hidden for the moment.You turn the stand around to show the faces of the cards.All the cards in the stand are different. You replace the chosen card in the stand.Let the spectator turn over your "prediction".Then you spin the stand around to reveal the face of the chosen card- THE PREDICTION MATCHES THE CHOSEN CARD!
How is this possible??Well, if you can put the cards into the stand, you can do this trick!
