OFFICIAL 1978 RONALD MCDONALD WHISTLE DOLL - FROM RONALD'S PERSONAL COLLECTION!SAYS PETER MONTICUP:Yes, you read that correctly! I was the Northeast Region Ronald McDonald from 1979 through 1982.It was the true heyday of Ronald McDonald, who was so popular that I was performing up to a dozen shows a week as the magical clown.I had a customized Winnebago with a fold-down stage at the back, so my driver could pull up to any McDonald's restaurant, parade or fairground and I was ready to go.For a time, this exact doll was a part of my magic show.The kids went wild for him, because when the whistle is placed in his mouth and his stomach is squeezed, the whistle WHISTLES!Also notice that there is a little Grimace peeking out of his pocket.Attached to a string, Grimace could be made to pop up anytime during the show, which was part of the script.

This is an official Ronald McDonald Whistle Doll, made by Hasbro for McDonald's.It was available for sale in toy stores, but many of the McDonald's restaurants in the Northeast kept a number of these on hand to give to special visitors, contest winners, etc.
CONDITION: good.This certainly has seen some use!It is a bit dirty and some of the paint has worn.But it brought a lot of smiles to a lot of kids! Doll is about 21" long.Soft body, hard plastic face, feet and hands.WHISTLE STILL WORKS - even though it's over 45 years old!!
