VERY RARE Hank Lee Magic Factory trick from 1984!From the collection of a retired stage magician.
A "turn around" type sucker effect!A really effective audience participation trick written with school children in mind!
This is a storyline effect, telling the tale of a little boy who made his first visit to the library. (You are holding a picture of a little boy).He got so excited, he began to sing to himself, and of course was told to "QUIET!" (You turn the card around and the little boy is now red-faced.) (You turn the card back to the normal picture of the boy.) A bit later, he again forgot where he was, and began to whistle. Of course, he was told to "QUIET!" (Again, turn the card to the red-faced boy.) (You can see where this is going- the kids in the audience will get into it right away, and will be happy to shout "QUIET" as the story progresses. At the climax of the story, the kids will be shouting at you to "turn the card around", expecting to see the little boy, but instead it ends with the BACK of the little boy and the word "QUIET!"
The original instructions (included) offer this bit of advice from Hank Lee: The response from the kids will be loud and enthusiastic. I would recommend you use this trick at the beginning of the show, as it lets them burn off some steam and also keeps them honest (as they were taken in). They will then pay closer attention throughout the rest of the show!"
