KANSAS CITY
"Kansas City" was written by by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller in 1952.
It was recorded over 300 times by many of the giants in the popular music world, including Little Richard, James Brown, Bill Haley and His Comets, Tom Jones, Sammy Davis Jr., the Beatles and even the Grateful Dead.
And it's probably my favorite song to play!
Here is an impromptu duet from a few years back with Nick Berkin on the baby grand, and me on the electric piano.
The lighting in the video is awful (one of the party guests recorded on her cell phone), but sing along anyway!

Love it!

Great arrangement and dueling leads. Know the song very well as I played it many times over the years in various bands and many different arrangements. Peppy tune with great variations!
