FUNERAL MARCH OF A MARIONETTE
You recognize this song, right? But you probably did not know the name of it.
A short piece by Charles Gounod, it was originally written for solo piano in 1872 and orchestrated in 1879.
It's about the funeral procession for a marionette who has died in a duel.
And it's best known as the theme music for the television program Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
Since I am posting the complete "Magic Shop" episode of that show this week, I thought it was very appropriate!

Peter, you are great at magic and a great musician. I am a great drummer but a lousy magician. lol

Nicely done, yet again!! Brings back memories watching Alfred late at night when I was a youngster. Talented in many ways!

excellent job, but where is an assistant to have a marionette dance on your keyboard, or bump you while you are trying to play ?
