TRULY DIFFERENT! And TRULY EASY!
Show your spectator two stick type pens- one has a blue cap and one has a red cap.On the pad of paper, squiggle something with each pen to show that the red capped one writes with red ink, the blue capped one with blue ink. Place both pens into the envelope. Jokingly, announce that the pens have changed places. Take the red pen out of the envelope and place it away (like in your pocket). Ask the spectator which color pen remains in the envelope. He will, of course, say the blue one. But you immediately take the blue one out of your pocket! Let the spectator check the envelope- the red one is still in there! So the pens really did change places! BUT WAIT- THERE'S MORE! Announce that you are going to make the pens switch again- but this time in full view, no envelope needed. Snap your fingers. Of course, nothing happens visually- the pens do not move. Open the pad to a fresh piece of paper. Ask your spectator to take the red pen and write something on the pad. The red pen writes with BLUE ink! And when he tries the blue pen, it writes with RED ink! The INK COLORS have switched places inside the pens!
Wow, this is a shocker!
