Mystic Patterns

Combine clever prediction trick with a domino puzzle- and you have a one-of-a-kind amazing pocket trick!

It goes like this:
Show your friend a pile of little cards that look similar to dominos, but that have symbols on them instead of domino dots.
There are five different symbols.
Each little card has two symbols on it, but the cards have different sets of two symbols.
For example, the symbols are diamonds, cross, triangle, flower, star and swirl.
One card has a triangle/flower combination, another has a swirl/diamonds combination, etc.
Your friend's task will be to lay these cards end to end, matching symbols as he goes along (as in dominoes), creating one line of cards.
Your task is to predict which symbols will be the ones at either end of the line he creates.
So you secretly write the names of the two symbols, and hide your prediction.
Your friend then works on the puzzle until he has matched all the symbols and put the cards in a line.
Now you take out your written prediction, and sure enough, you have correctly named the symbols that are located at the start and at the end of the line of cards!

For the prediction part (your part), there is ABSOLUTELY NO SKILL needed!
The domino puzzle is easy to do, but it IS a puzzle!
It is a fun participation trick for your friend!
