Just about the best trick you can buy for it's price - seriously. If you add a knock-out performance, you'll see jaws drop. I first did this trick probably 30 years ago, and it's still a lot of fun. Perform this, and just pocket it all and walk away - let them wonder!

There are some $5.00 tricks out there that play like $50 tricks, and this is one of them; it all depends on your showmanship! A few hints: Twist the pen cap properly and you can openly set the pen on the table (parallel to the spectator) and they won't see a thing. This frees up your hands. Explain the pen's presence casually by saying, I was going to ask you to write your name on your selection-- but this these cards are too expensive and I'm too cheap! So I will just lay the pen down on whichever card you select. I use patter about the power of suggestion; no matter how hard you try to fight it--even changing you mind--you won't be able to resist my power of suggestion. When you prove you got the upper hand, they freak out :)

this is so easy to do and takes just seconds to learn. You will amaze your captive audiance with this and your volunteer chooses a card on their own. Awesome trick.
