Performance Ideas:

Q: I am wondering if there is some way that this could be used as a kind of alternate for "flowers from fingertips"? In other words: is it possible to perform this trick without the match, and just have the flower appear from your hand "out of nowhere"?
Asked by: Brian - 3/30/2016
A: You don't have to use a match.
The flower is spring loaded on a gimmick that would hold a match, because that would be the excuse for holding your fingers in that position.
When you open your fingers to let go of the match, you release the flower and it springs up in your hand.
With a bit of attention to making your fingers look natural, you could definitely use the gimmick without using a match.

Q: Match to flower: Can the rose from the flowers at fingers be substituted into the gimmick? Can a real rose be substituted into the gimmick? Is the gimmick metal too sensitive to tolerate such switches without breaking?
Asked by: Tom Crone - 3/13/2016
A: I've never altered the Match to Flower. I would say another fake flower would probably work, but not a real flower. Any time you alter a gimmick like this, you run the risk of breaking or weakening it. Answer provided by:  Peter at (3/13/2016)
