This is one of my all-time favorite movies.
Tyrone Power is excellent as the small time carnival hustler who schemes his way to the big time and becomes a famous nightclub mentalist, only to fall victim to his own greed and dark heart.
The ending of the movie is really something, especially for its day!
As a side note, the actor who plays Bruno, Mike Mazurki, went to the same high school as I did, LaSalle Institute in Troy, New York.
He spoke at the school when I was a junior or senior, and I still remember him vividly.
What a character- and what an interesting life!
