Peter-- this Houdini footage, especially the first one, is simply amazing. When one keeps in mind that some of it is well over 100 years old it becomes a revelation. Just watching the expression on the vast number of people watching certainly explains the way in winch he captured the incredulity, and fear of all. I wonder if he would have the same allure today? I doubt it. It seems Houdini was a product of his time. But still, he is no less amazing. I've seem much Houdini footage over the years. But nothing is so vivid and overwhelming as all this footage.
