Very old magic props are hard to find, mainly because they don't look like magic props.
Let me tell you about these Bran Vases...
Bran was a very common grain found in most households in the 1800s.
So it would make sense to an audience that a magician would use bran as part of the magic show.
A popular effect would be to show the vase brimming over with bran, then dip the vase into a pail of bran, as if to scoop more.
When the vase was brought out of the pail, the bran would be gone, and the vase would be full of liquid.
Now where did THAT come from??

I really love the magic history. Id love to see a demo of that card spider I see in the background of some of your videos. Also as a kid I loved EZ magic and Abbotts. I'd like to hear your thoughts on them. Thank you and hope you and your family stay healthy. PS I noticed your tie clip in a video, my father was a 32nd degree Mason, I never met one I didn't like.
