Kalma was an American vaudeville magician whose stage career spanned from circa 1913 to about 1923.
His shows always included the Floating Ball and the Sawing a Girl in Half effects.
A talented photographer, Kalma invented a clever clip holder that proved useful in photo finishing. In the 1920's, he opened the Brunner Photo Appliance Company in Cleveland, Ohio to market his invention.
By 1939, he had changed careers again, becoming a building contractor in Florida.
