Harry Houdini was the producer, the director, the stuntman and the star of this movie. After his detective father is murdered by the villains, Heath Haldane (Houdini) dedicates himself to tracking them down. Time and again, Haldane is captured and escapes from ropes, chains and boxes. Audiences were treated to lots of Houdini escapes! And this movie has the best plot of any of Houdini's pictures- the ending is a real surprise.

This was the last movie made by Houdini Pictures Corporation before it closed down in 1923, and it was also Houdini's final starring role in a full-length motion picture.
