This great packet trick is pretty "handy"- get it??! A packet trick is a card trick that uses only a few cards, and can be easily carried in your pocket. And this one has hands on it!
Show five cards with simple illustrations of empty hands on them. Place two of the hands cards face-to-face, and another two face-to-face. Set the fifth card to the side, face up. Take out a deck of cards. Let the spectator insert the single hand card somewhere into the deck. Spread the deck on the table, face down, showing that the face up hand card is nestled between two random cards in the deck. Remove the cards on either side of the hand card. Set the rest of the deck aside- and watch the magic happen! Turn over one of the cards selected from the deck. In Peter's case in the demo above, the card is the Two of Clubs. Turn over the hand cards in the first set of two- and one of the hand illustrations is holding a card! It's the Two of Clubs! Turn over the other card selected from the deck. In the demo, the selected card is the Five of Spades. Turn over the hand cards in the second set of two- and one of the hand illustrations is holding a card! It's the Five of Spades!
