Tonny van Rhee's version of the Peter Kane classic has been off the market for a good ten years.
We could not find another one available currently on the Internet.
So if you want this one, better grab it now- it's the only one we have!
Originally this trick sold for $35, so this one is a real bargain!
The routine is a variation of Wild Cards (where all the 9 of Spades turn into all Kings of Diamonds) performed while telling a story about a gypsy's curse.
The cards used are unique- made to look old and worn, the "feel" of the cards was quite the subject of the magic forums back in 2008.
Many magicians were quite pleased with the way these cards handled.
When it came out, the manufacturer described the trick like this:
"Seven ancient playing card replicas are shown. Six of them are black spot cards and the last a King of Diamonds. As the performer relates the following story he carries out the actions of the swindler. He tells of how the original proprietor of this game would divide the seven cards into two groups and ask the spectators to wager as to which group contains the Diamond card. An elderly Gypsy woman, having wagered and lost, placed a curse upon the man and his game. From that day on, whenever the man tried to operate his game, he finds to his dismay that all the cards are winners and the performer fans them out to show all normal backs and King of Diamond faces!"
The trick originally came with a gold color coin. THE COIN IS MISSING. However, you can use ANY coin- the coin was not gimmicked.
The "envelope" is also missing. You can use any envelope or folded paper or cloth.
The condition of the cards themselves is excellent.
The DVD plays well.
The DVD case shows some wear (see photo).
