Glitter Pom Pom Pole

A real favorite with kids, and it is SO EASY TO DO!

More than 40 years ago, MagicTricks.com owner Peter Monticup watched legendary magician Doug Henning thoroughly entertain a theater full of people with a clever and funny trick- The Pom Pom Pole.

The effect itself is simple.
It's a hollow tube with a cord running through each end.
On each cord are two big pom pom balls.
Since the balls are on either end of the cord, it is expected that when you lift one pom pom, the ball on the other end of the cord will be lifted as well.
Where the hilarity starts is that, suddenly, when you lift one pom pom, the ball on the OTHER cord goes up!
The routine as Doug Henning did it got faster and faster, with one ball going up, then the opposite, and then the one on the same cord, etc.
It was comedy madness!

And here's where the magic happens!
The audience thinks that there must be some kind of cord running between the cords on either end, connecting everything together like some marionette puppet.
But then THE TUBE IS SEPARATED INTO TWO PARTS- and there is NO CONNECTING CORD!

So how does this work??
Really well, if you take the time to work it into a routine!
You can get a lot of time out of this one.
And it is different- you'll get a great reaction!
