Hocus Pocus (The Magician's Magazine) was a bi-monthly magic periodical published by Dick Brooks of the Magic Towne House in New York City.The magazine ran from Vol. 1, Jul/Aug. 1978 to Vol. 3, Apr/Jul 1982, a total of 18 issues.The first issue claimed to be the largest first issue of a magic magazine published at the time, with 7,150 copies.THIS IS THAT FIRST ISSUE!
Frank Garcia (May 8, 1927 - July 15, 1993) was a very popular magician who was known as "The Man With The Million Dollar Hands." His specialty was exposing gambling scams and cheating methods.

CONDITION: excellent.Some expected age yellowing of the paper, slight bending at edges, tiny tear at bottom left of cover page.Autograph reads "To Bob Spencer, Best Wishes Frank Garcia 1978".Autograph is very clear.Entire issue is intact.Stapled inside the folded spine. Magazine is printed on cheap newsprint paper.Product photo lighting makes it look like left side is darker than the right side- actually, the cover is even toned like the right hand side.Softbound. 63 pages.
