Follow the Queen is the stage size version of the classic Three Card Monte con game. But up until now, the cards were very large- too large for club shows, small party or or classroom shows.With this new size, you'll be able to will be able to use this great routine in the shows you perform most often! Best of all- absolutely NO SKILL required- the cards do all the work!
The actual effect is simple: three cards- two kings and a queen- are turned over to their backs, and switched. Of course, it is impossible for the spectators to ever choose the Queen, unless YOU want them to! Turn them around, switch them again- you are in complete control of where the Queen ends up.
No matter how fair you make the shuffling process appear, and even without touching the cards, the Queen is never in the position that the audience thinks it is. One minute it's on the left, then it's on the right, and then it's in the center of the three cards. Even if the Queen is marked with a red silk handkerchief (not included), it travels from one position to the other - invisibly!
And that's the beauty of this effect. You can make it into any kind of routine that suits you- make it funny, make it a gambling "expose", make it long, make it short. Call on three audience members to help you, or prop the cards up and do the effect yourself. This classic effect is suitable for nearly every type of venue, and plays very well in stand-up and club situations. It works just how you want it, practically by itself- every time!
