It's simple!
And simply terrific!

You hold a coin pouch in your hand, with a coin peeking out of the top.
When you remove the coin from the pouch, it is seen to be an English Penny, with the profile of Queen Elizabeth on it.
On closer examination, you point out that the date on the coin is 1963.
That year has special significance in american history, as it was the year of the Kennedy assassination.
Then you take a Kennedy half dollar from your pocket, noting that the date on that coin is 2013, 50 years after the assasination.
The English Penny is placed into your spectator's hand.
The Kennedy half dollar is placed on the back of the spectator's hand.
The spectator taps on the half dollar coin and - PRESTO! THE MAGIC HAPPENS!
The spectator turns the half dollar over-
KENNEDY'S SILVER PROFILE HAS BEEN REPLACED BY THE QUEEN'S COPPER PROFILE!
And when the spectator opens his hand-
instead of the copper Queen, the English Penny now has the silver profile of John F. Kennedy!
