The theremin (originally known as the ætherphone, etherphone, thereminophone or termenvox/thereminvox) is an electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact by the performer (who is known as a thereminist). It is named after its inventor, Leon Theremin, who patented the device in 1928. The instrument is most known for producing the eerie and spooky discordant background music for science fiction/horror movies.The instrument is rather hard to learn, and ther is very little instruction available.This DVD is considered a "must have" for anyone wanting an introduction to the proper way to play the theramin.This DVD was produced in a very limited run by Peter Pringle in the early 2000s, and is now very hard to find!
