POP OUT CARD Spread the deck across the table so your spectator can clearly see that all the cards are different. Let him freely select a card, and have him look at it. Place the card back into the deck. Give the deck a couple of cuts. Now shuffle the cards, but shuffle with half the deck face up and the other half face down. The result is that the cards are mixed, with some face up and some face down. And you fan the deck out, showing BOTH sides, to prove that they are mixed. Now, WITHOUT ANY SLEIGHTS, MANIPULATIONS or moves of any kind- You spread the deck across the table. All the cards are now FACE DOWN! Except ONE card- the spectator's chosen card!
ACES APPEARANCE Again, you show that all the cards are different, and that they are face up on one side and face down on the other. Now shuffle the cards, but shuffle with half the deck face up and the other half face down. The result is that the cards are mixed, with some face up and some face down. And you fan the deck out, showing BOTH sides, to prove that they are mixed. Now, WITHOUT ANY SLEIGHTS, MANIPULATIONS or moves of any kind- You spread the deck across the table. All the cards are now FACE DOWN! Except FOUR cards- the four Aces!
This is a great deck to use to lead into other tricks, especially if you follow with a four Ace routine, for example.
