Each of the four pages mentions a variation of the same topics: a holday, a luxury item, a tragic event, etc.
By simply using a "cold reading" approach, you can make it appear as though you can read the mind of the spectator as he reads through the page!

For example, you can say "I see you are reading a paragraph about a holiday. Are you reading the top or the bottom paragraph?"
If they say TOP, then they are reading the page that sarts with "Since Christmas was just around the corner".
