Della Martell was the stage name of a would-be movie starlet who became a featured part of the stage show of Alexander, The Man Who Knows.

Alexander was a world-renowned magician who specialized in mindreading. Realizing that he needed a pretty distraction to break up the intensity of his show, he hired Della to imitate the sensational act of performers like Annie Abbott the Georgia Magnet.

The Magnet act was a great bit of theater, with the very tiny Della performing nearly unbelieveable feats of strength, including "lifting 10 men off the floor" by herself.
