Here is an item I remember carrying in my MCM Magic Shop back in the 1970s.I have not seen one since!
This is a prop that looks like a real lighter, but is really a molded plastic box made to look like a lighter. The outer part can be pushed so that the inner part, the box, is revealed.
The idea is that you try to light the lighter several times, unsuccessfully.You then slide the lighter open to reveal the inside box, filled with wooden matches.You remove a match, and strike it on the bottom of the lighter.PRESTO! You made your own flame! :-)
The lighter does NOT come with matches.You can purchase wooden matches in grocery stores or Walmart.
The lighter does NOT actually light, because it has no fuel source and it is not real.So it is safe to transport in your pocket or closeup case.
The lighter does NOT have instructions.But it is simple to figure out!
You supply the ordinary wooden matches.
