Coin Nested Boxes

Vanish a borrowed coin, make it reappear inside the middle of four nested boxes!

Ages 7 and up   Level 2

Easy, amazing magic done with real money!

Borrow an ordinary quarter from a spectator. For best effect, the coin can be marked with a Sharpie marker so that the coin can be positively identified as the same borrowed quarter at the end of the trick. Put the quarter in your pocket, and instantly take a small box out of the same pocket. The spectator is asked to open the box. Is the borrowed quarter inside the box? No! Inside the box is another smaller box. Inside that box is another box. And inside that box is another box! When the spectator opens the smallest box- there is the marked quarter! The spectator is speechless!

An absolutely ASTOUNDING classic pocket trick, simple enough for beginners to handle!

Your box may say "Nested Boxes" or "Chinese Boxes". It is the same trick.

Coin Nest Makes Good
I give this trick a high rating if the presentation includes the misdirection of the coin dropped into the magician's handkerchief and the spectator is allowed to feel a quarter in the handkerchief. (This quarter is an extra quarter sewn into the corner of the handkerchief to misdirect.) The magician pulls the handkerchief out the spectator's grasp and the magician says the quarter has vanished and has now travelled to his or her pocket. (The magician has already made the drop to the coin nest container when faking the coin-drop in the handkerchief.) He/she now removes the coin nest (containing the original coin) from the pocket and opens the coin nest in succession to expose the coin. Gets great reactions. Easy to carry and perform. Highly recommend.

Great trick...
This trick is as cool as the magic coin box in its own right. The only minor downfall is, its best to open the boxes yourself in the reveal, because a couple dont stay closed tight and try to open too early... But hey its 4.99. Great trick. If u got the money, one of the more expensive brass ones might be worth looking at. They are prolly flawless...
