Quick and simple color prediction - or color force, if you'd like!
Here is a wonderful effect that you can present as a standalone prediction routine, or use as a way to force a color for your next routine.
COLOR PREDICTION: You introduce a strip which has four large squares running along its length. These squares are boldly numbered 1 to 4. You tell your spectator that on the reverse side are four solid colored squares. You also point out an envelope sitting on the table. You explain the the envelope contains your prediction of what color the spectator will choose. Your spectator is asked to select one of the numbers - FREELY - no force, no counting, no outs. A clip is attached to the top edge of the chosen numbered square. When the strip is turned around, the color square under the clip at that number displays the color you predicted in the envelope! And YES, you can set it up to predict ANY of the four colors!
COLOR FORCE: Use this effect to force a color to be used in the next effect. Let's say you'll need the spectator to choose a red silk from a set of four silks. You perform the routine as above, letting the spectator freely choose a number. The clipped number will have the red square underneath it. Yes, you can set it up to force any of the four colors! Now you can proceed with your silk trick, having forced the desired color.
This strip has been made to force the color you want, from four different colors. And, there’s no fake-counting here – the spectator simply selects the one he or she wants.
PRODUCT DETAILS: The strip is made from stiff cardboard measuring 25.5 cm / 10 inches in length. This strip is specially designed to stand upright for display, yet packs flat for storage or transport. You also receive all the accessories to force ANY one of four colors, plus prediction cards for ANY of four colors, allowing you to change the results for different performances. The instructions give you several presentation ideas, including some nice ones for children from Ian Adair.
And that's all you need!
