A classic effect taken to a whole new level!And a MagicTricks.com EXCLUSIVE!
Arthur Findlay and U.F. Grant came up with the wonderful Cheek To Cheek card effect over 75 years ago. It remains a very popular trick today, but we made it even better!
The new effect: You explain that you are going to replicate an experiment where a person was shown a group of objects for just mere seconds, then asked to turn away. A single item was removed from the group. The person was asked to look again at the group of items and try to name the item that was missing. Since you are a magician, you are going to combine this experiment with a magic trick.
First, a deck of cards is separated into two piles. You set aside one pile, and spread the other pile face up.You look at the spread for a mere three seconds, then close it up again. You hand that pile to your spectator, and ask them to select a card. Without letting you see, they are to select the card and then place it into the pile that was set aside. When they are finished, you take the first pile back from the spectator. You spread it again, giving yourself only seconds to look at the cards. You appear satisfied that you were able to figure out what card was missing. The two piles of cards are fanned and shuffled face to face so that half the cards are face up, the other half face down. First, you correctly name the card the spectator chose! When the deck is spread out on the table, all the cards are face down, except for one face-up card.
