When Champagne Supernova was available on the market, we did not carry it because it had some issues.
The idea behind the trick was really clever, though.
So when one of our suppliers went out of business earlier this year, we purchased their small stock of this trick and played around with it to see if we could make some changes and bring it up to our satisfaction.
We think we succeeded!

Our routine goes like this: (watch the demo video!)
You show the spectator a half dollar coin.
You hold the coin in your hand, and you push a Sharpie pen right through the coin!
The spectator can see that the coin clearly has the pen going through it.
To prove that the coin actually has been pierced by the pen, you move the coin around on the pen.
Then you actually remove the coin from the pen and drop it on the table.
Yes, the coin actually has a big hole in it!

The maker of this effect DID NOT include a real half dollar to match the gimmick.
WE ARE THROWING IN THE REAL HALF DOLLAR YOU NEED!
The trick requires using a real half dollar that "matches" the gimmick.
"Matching" meaning that the design of the half dollar is the same as the design of the gimmick (the mint date will not be the same).
Some of these tricks come with a gimmick with the design of the BICENTENNIAL half dollar, which made it nearly impossible for the customer (you) to locate a real Bicentennial half dollar to use.
