Daryl was a world-renowned close up and card magician who was appreciated for his unique routines.
He had a knack for taking simple ideas and methods and turning them into amazing effects.
We were honored to have him come and lecture at our magic shop several times.

The effect is typical of Daryl's creativity.
You show a packet of picture cards that can be used to teach various words in half a dozen languages.
Each picture is on one side, with its translation on the back.
A picture card is selected by the spectator.
Then the selected picture card is mixed back into the packet.
As the spectator holds the packet, you give it a sharp tap with your finger.
Of course, all the cards fall to the table - except one!
She still has a grip on one solitary card.
It is her selected picture!
BUT WAIT- THAT'S NOT ALL!
When she looks at all the other cards fromn the packet, all the pictures of the items are "broken"!

A collector's item, for sure!

On the first edition of this trick, Daryl signed each instruction sheet in red pen.
This assured the buyer that they were getting an authentic Daryl version and not an unauthorized copy of his tricks.
As this trick became more popular and more quantities were being sold, Daryl decided to simply sign the master copy of instructions and let the chips fall where they may in terms of copycats.
You can tell a later version beccuae Daryl's signature will be in black.
This signature is in RED ink- it was personally signed by Daryl!
