The VERNON CHRONICLES VOL. 3: FURTHER LOST INNER SECRETS is 219 pages of vintage Vernon. It includes classic sleights such as the Subway Gambler's Palm, the Contortion Palm, Flat Top Switch, the Zarrow Block Addition and a Table Pass, as well as effects such as the legendary Joker Monte, Horowitz's Look Homeward, Angel, Tenkai's Phoenix Bill Vanish and much more.In total there are 63 routines, 210 illustrations and 32 historical photographs.
The incredible volume also kicks off with a 30-page essay, "Trouping Around in Magic with Max Holden" a historical commentary on the New York Inner Circle in the 1920s and 30s by William P. Miesel, Max Maven, Bruce Cervon, Stephen Minch and Dai Vernon.
This classic text features unpublished Vernon effects, as well as contributions from some of his closest friends—legendary magicians such as Herb Zarrow, Dr. Daley, Faucett Ross, John Scarne, Sam Horowitz, Henry Christ and others. Included are many little-known sleights and tricks with cards, coins and bills. The magic ranges from the nearly self-working to the consummately skillful. And, at long last, here is an explanation of the near legendary "Joker Monte" trick that Mr. Vernon used for decades to tease and baffle fellow magicians. His original method is given, along with new ideas by Tom Gagnon and Bruce Cervon.
