Basically, this is the full text of the classic EXPERT AT THE CARD TABLE, with notes and annotations by Dai Vernon.
It's an interesting story.Back when he was a young boy, Dai Verson became fascinated with the writing of "Erdnase", the mysterious magician/gambler who penned the legendary EXPERT AT THE CARD TABLE book.Meant to be a guide for gamblers, the book contains some complex techniques that are hard to decipher.It became a decades-long quest for Vernon to work through and interpret the techniques in Erdnase's book; he made copious notes over many years.Eventually, other magicians learned of the book and of Vernon's efforts, and encouraged Vernon to write a book about the book.After many false starts, in the 1960s Vernon and his "team" organized the notes and took dozens of photographs of Vernon's hands to illustrate the book.Unfortuantely, the photographs were lost, and the notes were put aside.Finally in the early 1980s, the project was started up again, and the result is this book, REVELATIONS.By the way, those long-lost photos were recently discovered, and a new addition of this book was printed in 2012.This is NOT the easy-to find reprint- it is the original HARD TO FIND edition from 1982.

Condition: very good. Dust jacket shows some shelf wear and some very minor chipping. There is the residue of a sticker on the top right front. There is a small mark on the left inside board.
