Bernard Zufall was a magician, author and a memory expert.

Billed as the "Human Encyclopedia", Zufall was a master of mnemonics, the ability to remember huge and specific pieces of information through the technique of association.

During his lifetime, Zufall collected the largest library of books on mnemonics, some 1,000-plus titles. The collection was gifted to Yale University.

In 1940, he published a six-volume series of books of magic effects based on mnemonics, called Zufall's Memory Trix. Each volume dealt with a different area, and included Magazine Memorizing, Mental File Indexing, Calendar Memorizing, Memorizing a Deck of Cards, Numbers Memorizing, and Memorizing Facts and Figures.
