CIRCA 1960s and PRETTY RARE- ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION!The most recent sale we could find was $40.00 in 2016, and that set was missing the stoppers. From the collection of a retired professional magician and magic collector.
This unique effect was designed by Sam Berland (1907-1987), a magic dealer and inventor of popular effects and routines. His Princess Magic Shop in Chicago opened in 1925 as the first street-level magic shop open to the general public.Until he sold the shop in 1951, Berland and his partner Joe Berg demonstrated many of their effects for eager customers, including the Princess Card Trick, still popular today.
DESCRIPTION OF THE EFFECT: The magician performs a few "penetrating coin" effects using large coins that seem to penetrate his handkerchief. Finally, rather than producing the last large coin from under the handkerchief- A full cordial glass is produced! The magician takes a sip of the drink, then reaches under the handkerchief to produce a SECOND full cordial glass! The handkerchief is lifted to show that there is nothing there- it is an ordinary (borrowed) handkerchief!
Includes two cordial glasses (real glass), two stoppers, two gimmicks. Very detailed instructions. The coins and the handkerchief were never included with this trick, and need to be supplied by you.
