Everybody loves tricks that involve money.With Astor Mental Jackpot, you start with four plastic pockets. Llet the spectator know that ONE of the pockets shown has a money bill in it, and the rest are empty.There is a different color dot on each one.The idea is that the spectator will get to choose THREE of the pockets, and leave you with the last one.Of course, he is hoping that the money will be in one of the pockets he chooses!
To make it even more fair for everyone, you have him choose the three envelopes by chance.Take out four cards.The cards each have a number (1-4) on one side and a color dot on the other.Let your spectator choose three of the four numbers.Turn over the card with the first number he chose.There is a dot on the other side.Now turn over the pocket with the same color dot.Is the money in that pocket? NO!Now turn over the card with the second number, and look at the color dot on the other side.turn over the pocket with that same color dot.Is the money in that pocket? NO!Repeat one last time with the last number chosen by the spectator.Of course, the pocket will be empty.Your spectator left YOU with the pocket containing the money!
This is one of those great effects that is easy to do, yet can be made into numerous different routines, depending on how you present it.
