Aldow was a European magician who was performing as a magical whiteface clown by the end of the 1800's.

His comedy act included tricks that used electricity, quite a novelty at the time.

Part of his act was the "Electrified Man", during which Aldow's red nose lit up.

Assisted by "Miss Theo", who also played several musical instruments, including the clarinet and the banjo.

His poster shows him playing a duet on the mandolin with Miss Theo, as an electrified automaton sings along.
